Job Shadow

Explore an Independence Health System Student Observation Experience

Have an interest in a health care profession? Let us help you explore your options through a job shadowing experience. Observation, or job shadowing, is a firsthand look at the daily experiences of health care professionals.

About the Program

The program is a maximum of 8 hours and open to high school seniors, college students or others considering a career change.

Once the application has been received and reviewed, we will notify you by email. You will be given the name and email address of an Independence Health System staff member who will arrange your shadowing experience. As a note -- observations do not include direct patient care or “hands-on” activities.

Job Shadow Application

To be considered for an Independence Health System shadowing opportunity, please complete the application at least three weeks before your desired shadowing experience date.
